Floyd Sanford Shetrone Jr., 52, of Salem, Ark. son of the late Floyd Sanford and Mary Ellen (Brooks) Shetrone Sr., was born on Aug. 6, 1956, at Indianapolis, Ind. He died April 15, 2009, at the Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem, Ark.
Floyd spent his working years as a farmer. He served his country in the United States Marines.
He is survived by: four brothers, Carl Shetrone of Frankfort, Ky., Clyde Shetrone (Stephanie) of Banbridge, N.Y., Gerald Shetrone of Pomona, Mo., and Troy Shetrone of Cave City, Ark.; special cousin, Randy Todd; special niece, Anita Barnett; life long best friend, Mike Brown; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents; and brother, Danny F. Shetrone.
A memorial service was held April 1 at the VFW Building Post 7831, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., with Bro. Roy Gregg officiating.
