Leta Glodean Perkey, of Glencoe, Ark., daughter of the late Orgel Henry and Theola Huggins Henry, was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Byron, Ark. She died April 19, 2009, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark., at the age of 70.
She was united in marriage to Billy D. Perkey on Dec. 11, 1968, in Glencoe.
She was a line type operator and operations manager at the Salem Headlight for many years. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include: her husband, Billy D. Perkey of Glencoe; her sons, Charles Foster and wife Vickie of Ash Flat, and James Perkey and wife Rana of Gassville; her grandchildren, Misty Payne, Chelsey Foster, Tyler Foster and Wesley Perkey; two great-grandchildren; her brothers, Dee Henry and Donnie Henry, both of Glencoe, Ark.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: one sister, Cathy Henry; two brothers, Max Moser and Waymon Henry; and her father and mother.
Services were held April 21 at Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial following in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
