Barbara Ann Moore, 63, died April 6, 2009, at her Woodland, Calif., residence. She was born July 3, 1945, in Dexter, Mo., the daughter of Alfred and Vernie (Croney) Blyzes where she attended area schools.
A caregiver for the past 15 years, during the 90s she owned and operated Anglewood Care Home in Woodland, Calif., and was a Yolo County resident for the past 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 77 of Woodland.
She is survived by: her husband of 18 years, John Moore of Woodland, Calif.; a son, Billy Wayne Smith of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; two step-daughters, Cheryl Villegas-Arzate and Cynthia Moore of Woodland; three sisters, Mary M. Lafferty of Salem, Ark., Ernestine De Falco of Sparks, Nev. and Ruby Neal Sanders of Ontario, Ore.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchild- ren; numerous nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her sisters, Della Mae Ellage, Dorothy Curtis and Cora May Corder.
Funeral services were held April 14 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo. Interment followed in the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer. Local arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
