Polly Hensley, 90, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late John Otis and Izora (Glenn) Prince, was born July 19, 1918, in McCrory, Ark. She died April 10, 2009, at her home.
She was united in marriage to Cloyce Evert Hensley on Oct. 18, 1941, at Augusta, Ark.
She was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by: two sons, Jerry Hensley (Teensie) of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Rick Hensley (Sheila) of Coulterville, Ill.; five daughters, Betty Ellison (Butch) of Salem, Barb Schoeber of Salem, Helen MacTaggart of Salem, Tanya Evans (Bob) of Bethalto, Ill., and Janice Hensley of Salem; one brother, Johnny Prince of Gary, Ind.; one sister, Jewel Galloway of Patterson, Ark.; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Boyce Hensley of Haughton, La.; a special friend, Loris Butterfield of Collinsville, Ill.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; a son, Larry Hensley; five brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services were held April 14 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark., with Bro. Rick Hensley officiating. Interment followed in the Sturgeon Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kenny Ellison, Evert Ellison, Blake Hensley, Allen Schoeber, Chris Hensley, Jeff Hensley, Andy MacTaggart, Wesley Ellison, Layke Ellison and Bridget Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Stone, Barry Abney and Robert Delargy.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
