Nathan Circle of Hardy was the runner-up in this year's Arkansas State Golf Association Match Play, held at Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home.
The cold rain started on the first day of play and continued steadily throughout the four-day tournament.
Circle defeated the two past match play champions -- Chris Jenkins from Little Rock and Ron Mangold of Pocahontas.
That put Circle in the final four on Sunday and he was pitted against Cabot's Nicklaus Benton, who is the defending ASGA boys' match play champion. Circle defeated Benton 2-and-1.
The final two players left standing were Circle and Kirk Brown of Mountain Home.
Brown, who has also won the Big Creek Club Championship, won his first Arkansas major, 5-and-3 against Circle.
