The Mammoth Spring City Council held their monthly meeting May 4 and discussed a bid for street work.
Kings was awarded the bid to repave 2nd Street. Mayor Jean Pace said it has been about 20 years since the much traveled street has been redone.
The mayor informed the council she has been working on several grants. One is for improving the police department and another is for trimming city trees. Another grant the mayor is working on is a Natural Resources grant to clean up debris from the ice storm in Town Branch and Huntstal Creek. It is estimated the cost to clear the creeks from debris is about $10,000.
The next Mammoth Spring City Council meeting is scheduled for June 1 at 7 p.m. in city hall.
