Escaped convicts have ties to area
Two inmates who escaped from the Arkansas Department of Corrections have ties to the Thayer, Mo., and Mountain Home area.
Jeffrey Grinder, 32, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 7 inches in height, weighing 154 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Calvin Adams, 39, is a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches in height, weighing 154 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Grinder and Adams escaped Friday evening, May 29, from the Arkansas Department of Corrections -- Cummins Unit in Grady, Ark.
Both men were serving life sentences for murder. The men were last seen wearing ADC staff uniforms.
Both are considered to be armed and dangerous.
They are believed to be in a 2003 maroon or red Hyundai Sonata 4 door, with a bondo patch on the right rear. The vehicle was displaying Arkansas license number 595NYM.
Grinder has ties to Baxter County and it is believed he has made specific threats concerning two area residents. Both residents have been notified.
Adams has ties to the Thayer, Mo., area.
It is believed that both Grinder and Adams were reported to have been seen May 30 near the town of Bragaddocia, Mo., which is in the southeastern area of the state. Information received indicates the two may be headed for Minnesota or the Canadian border.
Anyone who has any information concerning these two escapees should contact their local law enforcement immediately.
