An Izard County male juvenile was arrested June 2 on the charge of rape. The 14-year-old is accused of raping an 8-year-old girl. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said he was transported to the White River Juvenile Detention Center where he is awaiting a court appearance.

Bradford Sloan Webb, 23, of Batesville surrendered himself to the Izard County Sheriff's Department on Friday on felony charges that include commercial burglary-three counts, theft of property-three counts and criminal attempt to commit commercial burglary. Webb remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

Thomas J. Smith, 18, of Licking, was arrested by Missouri officials on an Izard County felony theft of property warrant and was transported to the Izard County Detention Facility. Smith is accused of stealing a pickup truck in Melbourne and later wrecking the truck and abandoning it. Smith is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

David Martel Rasmussen, 20, of Violet Hill was arrested Friday on a theft of property charge. Rasmussen is accused of stealing two-way radios from Ozarka College where he was employed. Rasmussen later posted bond in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Thomas Gary Morrison, 26, of Melbourne was arrested June 1 on the charge of domestic battery in the third degree. Morrison was extradited June 5 to Missouri to answer felony charges

In other sheriff's department activities, Randall E. Shepherd, 25, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested shortly after midnight June 4 on the charge of driving while intoxicated and driving left of center. Sheriff Lawrence said the arrest was made on state highway 289 north near the Fulton County line. Shepherd posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,185 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Corey Edward Eitleman, 29, of Melbourne was arrested on the charge of criminal mischief second degree. Eitleman posted bond the following day and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Bruce Mitchell Rush, 44, of Melbourne was arrested Friday afternoon on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Rush posted bond the next day in the amount of $1,055 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Dale Hughes, 47, of Calico Rock was arrested in Calico Rock on charges of public intoxication-drugs and disorderly conduct. Hughes remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jimmy Lane Wicoff, 53, of Melbourne was arrested Sunday on the charge of public intoxication and was released Monday after posting bond in the amount of $205.

Michael Leland Meaders, 24, of Pineville was arrested June 4 on a child support enforcement warrant. Meaders remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $11,508 bond.

Rick Martin Barley, 52, of Calico Rock was arrested Saturday on a Baxter County warrant. Barley posted bond in the amount of $2,500 and was released.

Six inmates were transferred to the Arkansas Department of Correction on June 2. Those transported include David Bruce Roush, 24, of Calico Rock on probation revocation/theft of property charge; Danny Wayne Brock, 23, of Pineville on charges to include commercial burglary-three counts, criminal mischief-two counts; Robert Charles Glick, 47, of Horseshoe Bend on the charge of rape; Kenneth Wayne Smith Jr., 34, of Melbourne on the charge of possession of meth with the intent to deliver; Brock Monroe Felton, 32, of Sage on numerous sexual related charges; and James Walton, 62, of Maynard on drug related charges.

The Izard Sheriff's Department has made one arrest in connection with last week's three burglaries and one attempted burglary of businesses in the Calico Rock area. Businesses burglarized included Jenkins Boat Dock, Bill Terry's Boat Dock and Benji's Diner. An alarm at Lindsey's Dock apparently scared the would be thieves and they ran away. Arrested May 27 was James West Jr., 18, of Calico Rock. West is charged with seven felonies consisting of three counts of commercial burglary, class C felonies, three counts of theft of property, class D felonies, three counts of commercial burglary, class C felonies and one count criminal attempt to commit commercial burglary. Bond for West was set at $25,000 by District Judge David E. Miller. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that West posted bond and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

In connection with these Calico Rock burglaries, an arrest warrant has been issued for Bradford Webb, 23, of Batesville. Webb has been charged with the same seven felonies as West. Sheriff Tate Lawrence asked that anyone having knowledge of Webb's current whereabouts contact Investigator Charles Melton at 870-368-4203.

Sheriff Lawrence also said that a Jeff Shankle, 22, of Batesville is wanted for questioning. Sheriff Lawrence said that Shankle has been arrested in Missouri on an Arkansas Department of Correction absconder warrant and arrangements are being made to question him.

In unrelated matters, formal felony drug charges have been brought against four people as the result of arrests in Brockwell and Calico Rock on May 24. Charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a class Y felony is Tasha Lee Bowman of Norfolk. Bowman is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $50,000 bond set by Judge David E. Miller.

Keith Tyrail Trivitt of Norfolk, was charged with two class C felony charges to include possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and use or possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia. He posted bond May 28 in the amount of $25,000. Trivitt was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Formal drug charges were brought against Nicholas B. Speak, 30, of Calico Rock. Speak's charges include possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and furnishing prohibited articles into a detention facility. Speak was released on these felonies, classes C and B, after posting bond in the amount of $25,000.

In other sheriff's department activities, Frank A. Bruyette, 26, of Melbourne was arrested May 26 on a theft of property warrant. Bruyette posted bond the same day in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

May 27, following a call to a disturbance on lower Dixon Street in Melbourne, deputies arrested Richard J. Crouch, 38, on a Marion County warrant. Marion County authorities transported Crouch the following day.

Sabrina Leilani Mynatt, 47, of Batesville was arrested May 28 on the charges of driving while intoxicated-second offense and faces an additional charge of furnishing prohibited articles (syringes) into a facility. Mynatt posted bond the following day in the amount of $12,805 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

James B. Smith, 36, of Melbourne was arrested the night of May 29 on charges of driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test and driving on a suspended license. Smith posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,660 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Billy Turner, 35, of Melbourne was arrested May 25 on charges of public intoxication and criminal mischief second degree. Turner posted bond the following day and was released.

Zabrien Allen Meek, 27, of Cherokee Village was arrested May 26 on a theft of property warrant. Meek was given a court date and released.

Mandy Spring Roberts, 33, of Mount Pleasant was arrested on a Sherwood Police Department warrant. Roberts was transported to Sherwood.

Randy Leroy Schulz, 43, of Batesville was charged May 26 on two felony drug related charges. Schulz was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), a class C felony and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, also a class C felony. Schulz was transported to Independence County to answer additional charges.

Lou Annelise Short, 25, of Cherokee Village was arrested May 30 on a failure to appear warrant. Short posted bond in the amount of $1,055 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Tonya L. Tilley, 32, of Calico Rock was arrested May 29 on a violation of Arkansas Hot Check Law warrant. Tilley posted bond in the amount of $677 and was released with a court date.
