Izard County Sheriff's Report

A Melbourne man was arrested June 23 in connection with an incident at a housing complex in that town. Shelby Joe Roddy, 18, is accused of entering an apartment and taking a cell phone. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Roddy is charged with residential burglary, a class B felony and with theft of property, a class A misdemeanor. Bond for Roddy was set by District Judge David Miller in the amount of $5,000. Roddy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

While interviewing Roddy, contact was made with William Lee Duckett, 20, of Sidney and he was arrested on an Independence County warrant. Duckett was picked up at the Izard County Detention Facility by Independence County authorities.

In other sheriff's department activities, Joseph Scott McGowan, 35, of Pineville was arrested June 24 on charges of driving while intoxicated-fourth offense, driving on a suspended license, endangering the welfare of a minor and driving left of center. McGowan posted bond the following day in the amount of $7,145 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Dominic Nelson, 35, of Mountain View was arrested June 26 on charges to include driving while intoxicated-third offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test, driving on a suspended license, and having no proof of insurance. Nelson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond in the amount of $6,640.

In another alcohol related arrest, Artie Gregory, 37, of Scott, Ark., was charged June 27 with driving while intoxicated and speeding. Gregory was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day after posting a $1,210 bond.

Jason Eli Owens, 23, of Calico Rock was arrested Sunday on the charge of public intoxication. Owens later posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

James Houston Patterson, 41, of Salem was arrested June 24 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Patterson posted a bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Antonio Inocencio, 20, of Melbourne was arrested June 27 on charges of driving without a driver's license, operating a vehicle without insurance, and fictitious license plate. Inocencio was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day after posting bond in the amount of $940.

Jacob Dale Langston, 21, of Calico Rock was arrested June 26 on a probation/parole violation. Langston remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a Department of Correction hold.
