What a great fourth!

Thursday, July 9, 2009

The 4th of July was celebrated in style in Cherokee Village with good food, great fireworks and fun on the lakes with family and friends. Photo by Dana Hepler

That's great, but I have a question. Is there not anyone who calls the 4th of July, INDEPENDENCE DAY anymore, or has the reason for the holiday been long forgotten?

The boat rides and fireworks are awesome, but let's remember the men who fought to found this country, as well as those who gave their lives, so we could even have such a place called America!
