Williams signs with WBC

The Williams Baptist College men's basketball team recently received a commitment from Alan Williams of Paragould.

Williams is a graduate of Crowley's Ridge Academy and Crowley's Ridge College and is the son of Al and Lana Williams of Paragould. He is the grandson of Jerry and Joyce Sullins of Bono and Lavada Wilson of Highland.

Williams is a 6-1 point guard. He played for two years at CRC, where he averaged eight points per game and led the team in both assists and free throw percentage his sophomore year.

In high school, he was a two-time pick for All-Conference, All-Region and the All-Greene County Team. In 2007, he was selected regional MVP and he played in the Jonesboro Sun Classic All Star Game.

Taking part in Williams' signing were his parents, his sister, Andrea and WBC head coach Jeff Rider.
