The Arkansas State Golf Association held the Hot Springs Country Club Junior Stroke Play Championship at the Park Course at Hot Springs Country Club July 30-31.
Izard County High School's Rachel Harmon continued her outstanding play this summer by finishing first in the 16- to 17-year-old age division and second overall with a two-day score of 154.
Harmon shot back-to-back rounds of 77 in an event that was suspended Thursday due to rain.
Most competitors had completed approximately 11 holes of play before rain forced the suspension on Thursday.
On Friday, all competitors completed their first round matches and then immediately began their second round.
Preston Harmon, a sophomore at Izard County High School, also competed in the boys division and shot rounds of 79 and 82 for a two-day total of 161.
