White to run for District 10 seat in the State Senate

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Paul White, business owner and resident of Mountain View, recently declared his candidacy for State Senate, District 10. Paul Miller, Democrat and current State Senator from District 10, is term limited in 2010. District 10 encompasses Fulton, Izard, the northwest portion of Independence, Randolph, Sharp and Stone counties.

White, whose family were early settlers in Arkansas, his wife, Paula, and their three children have called Mountain View home since moving from Stillwater, Minn.

"The community of Mountain View and the state of Arkansas has been good to me and my family and now it is time for me to show my gratitude by serving the people of my community and state," stated White. I personally know what it's like to work backbreaking jobs for 10 hours a day in the burning heat of Arkansas' summers. It is immoral to tax the basic necessities of life while at the same time creating an anti-business environment where a living wage is harder to come by. It is at this time that I find that the Republican Party best reflects my conservative values and I announce my candidacy for
