The Thayer Chamber of Commerce held a business meeting July 29 at the Los Patrillos Mexican Restaurant and discussed how things faired at the July 4 fireworks event.
Board member Bob Eckman said the chamber is in the process of creating a list of intakes from concessions, food, donations and all other events held around the fireworks. Board member Ron Cornelius said a complete list of what money came in from the fireworks will be made for the next regular chamber meeting.
"I think you guys did a great job organizing it (the event)," Eckman said.
Board members also discussed possible ideas for next year's fireworks, which included talk of raffles or drawings for door prizes.
In other news, Eckman said Caroline Sutherland e-mailed him the current total of visitors at the Caboose for July. He said Sutherland had recorded about 724 visitors so far, making it a record for the month.
The Chamber Board agreed to change the time for the next meeting to 11:30 a.m., Aug. 5 at the Los Patrillos Mexican Restaurant. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
