Lottery seeking business participation

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) is actively seeking interested retail businesses throughout Arkansas to apply to become licensed lottery retailers. Lottery ticket sales and games are scheduled to begin by Sept. 28, and already, applications for lottery licenses are pouring in.

"Retail businesses are the true customers of the Lottery. We welcome and invite all businesses in Arkansas to become licensed lottery sales locations in time for the early autumn launch. Our outstanding team -- lottery experts, sales professionals, security and support personnel -- are ready to help every Arkansas businesses join the network of thousands of retail locations. Each participating business will add to its product offerings the newest and most outstanding lottery program in the country," said Ernie Passailaigue, ASL executive director.

"The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery is not only an opportunity to provide scholarships to thousands of individuals seeking higher education in our state, but also an economic opportunity for businesses in Arkansas to generate new traffic and revenue in their stores through the promotion and sales of our instant and online games," Passailaigue added. "Our licensing operation is working overtime to assure that no business is left behind."
