The doctors and staff at Fiorino's Chiropractic Clinic presented a long time patient, Ms. Virgie Davisson, with a dozen red roses to celebrate her upcoming 100th birthday. Ms. Davisson a long time resident of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., has been self-sufficient by mowing her own lawn and painting her house. Although she does not drive long distances, Ms. Davisson still drives her bright red car in and around Horseshoe Bend. To keep herself active at age 95, Ms. Virgie took up the sport of bowling once a week, in the summer league and twice a week in the fall. Ms. Davisson said, "I don't have any use for computers, I think they are a waste of brain exercise. I just get my pen and paper out and figure out my own bills." Reaching the century mark, she has seen so many changes and felt one of the most significant advances, was when cars came out, only men drove, as time progressed, women started driving.
