Mr. and Mrs. Woody R. Jackson (Jane Wallace Gibbs) of Sevierville, Tenn., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Nashville , Tenn., at the Wyndham Union Station Hotel on Aug. 15. The event was celebrated with cocktails and dinner at the "Prime 108" restaurant at Union Station.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are the parents of Cindy (Dr. Steve) Morton of Sevierville, Tenn., and Dr. George (Cary) Jackson of Cherokee Village, Ark.
In attendance were Dr. and Mrs. Steve Morton, Dr. and Mrs. George Jackson, granddaughters, Sarah Morton of Denver, Colo., and Erma Jackson of Cherokee Village, Ark., grandson, Ben Jackson of Cherokee Village, Ark., Dr. and Mrs. Sydney Gibbs of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. James Thompson of Hanceville, Ala., and Mrs. James Veal of Cullman, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson were married Aug. 13, 1949, at First Baptist Church in Hanceville, Ala. Mr. Jackson is retired from the United States Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Jackson taught high school and college Home Economics for many years and retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
