A day of fun and excitement awaits those who plan to attend Koshkonong Heritage Day on Sept. 12 at the Koshkonong City Park.
Festivities will begin with the traditional veteran's salute at 10 a.m. followed by Mayor Bud Adams welcoming all those who made it to the event.
As usual, Rep. Mike Dethrow will give a speech. Following the speech will be the Pet Parade.
Entertainment includes singing by Pavement Ends and Dean Vonallmen, Carl Tranthan and Ed McKenny of The Sunnyside Up Band.
Students from the Koshkonong School District are set to sing starting at 1 p.m.
Rhonda Spreutel is also scheduled to sing at 2:30 p.m. following the Civil War Artillery firing at 2 p.m.
A Pony Pull will also be held at 3 p.m.
Throughout the schedule of events, artisans will display their wares in craft booths. There will also be school sponsored booths, a petting zoo, a chicken chase, tug-of-war, a children's peddle tractor pull and the Northeast Arkansas Living Historians will also have a booth.
There will not be food or beverage booths allowed at the event, but people can purchase their meals at the park.
