Golfers in Cherokee Village will be seeing a lot more of a few familiar faces at both the North and South Golf Courses.

Aug. 14 the Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District (SID) announced the promotion of two long time golf course employees, both of who previously served as assistant golf course superintendents.

Following the retirement of Golf Course Superintendent Don Copeland, SID promoted Lynn Twilley to Golf Course Superintendent at the North Golf Course and Ralph Ball to South Golf Course Golf Superintendent.

Twilley, a Hardy native, has worked for the golf course for 33 years and Ball, a Mammoth Spring native, has been employed at the courses for 29 years.

Both men have extensive knowledge of grass and the conditions required for growth and maintenance. Both men will be solely responsible for decisions concerning the health of the golf courses turf.

Both men are looking forward to their new jobs.

Cherokee Village SID also wishes to thank Don Copeland for the job he has performed at the golf courses and they all wish him well in his retirement.
