GREAT CAUSE: Last year's Hot Pick Golf Tournament was held in Batesville. This year, Cherokee Village is the host site for the event that raises money for breast cancer research and awareness.
The Cherokee Village Women's 18-Hole Golf Association is set to host the third annual Hot Pink Golf Tournament to benefit breast cancer awareness.

Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Susan G. Komen Arkansas Affiliate in Little Rock.

The tournament will be held on the North Golf Course in Cherokee Village Oct. 7 and will be a two-lady scramble.

The event is limited to the first 50 paid teams.

Tee time is 9 a.m.

There will be one hole-in-one prize worth $10,000 compliments of Farm Bureau agents Joey Sample and Theron Isaacs.

The ladies would like to thank Liberty Bank of Arkansas and Bob Evins for sponsoring the flight prizes, along with First Community Bank, FNBC, King Rhodes Realty, American Land Company, Grapevine and Lori Carpenter, White River Medical Center, Simmons Bank and Iberia Bank for their sponsorship.

A silent auction will be held during the event.

Anyone interested may come out and bid on items.

This is breast cancer awareness month and event organziers remind everyone to self check, have your regular check up and your annual mammogram without fail.

Remember, early detection is the best protection. Help be a part of finding a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by coming out to support the Hot Pink Tourney.
