Chris Studebaker of Cherokee Village and Dennis Jacobs of Ash Flat, would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Beth Jacobs to Brent Lee Stucker, son of Dennis and Sharon Stucker of Horseshoe Bend.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Muriel Jansen of Cherokee Village, the late Jake Jacobs of Cherokee Village, and the late Chester and Helen Studebaker of West Brooklyn, Ill.

Katie is 2005 graduate of Highland High School and a 2009 graduate of Ozarka College in Melbourne, with a registered nurse's degree. She is currently employed as an RN at Internal Medicine Diagnostics in Cherokee Village and St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Leo and Arvida Stucker of Center, Ark., and the late Vince and Ruby Majors of Highland.

Brent is a 2001 graduate of Highland High School and a 2005 graduate of Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, Kan., with a degree in communications technology. He is currently employed in the telecommunications industry at Datacom Solutions in Highland.

The couple will exchange marriage vows on Oct. 9, in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Valley of Fire State Park.
