Betty King, 74, of Mammoth Spring, was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger Sept. 19 around 1:25 p.m. on State Highway 289 in Saddle when she ran into a 1989 Chevrolet parked bus in a field. King was traveling north and while negotiating a curve, she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the north bound side of the highway, traveled 363 feet on the roadside, then struck the bus in a field off the north bound lane. The vehicle came to rest against the bus. King was transported to Salem Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The investigating trooper was Brandon J. Cook.
