The Salem Greyhound Mighty Mites hit the road and made the trip to Thayer Oct. 3.
The third-grade teams started things off and the game was close early, as both defenses took center stage.
Salem's offense was finally able to score, but as the game went on, the Bobcats heated up and won 26-14.
The fourth-grade Hounds were next to rumble with the Cats and Thayer scored early to take the lead.
Salem's defense perked up, but was unable to make up for the early scoring and Thayer won 18-8.
In the fifth-grade contest, both teams started things right with fierce hitting and aggressive play.
But Salem was unable to find a rhythm and the Mighty Mite Bobcats won 20-0.
The sixth-grade contest was re-scheduled due to illness.
