Izard County Sheriff's Report

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Two additional persons have been arrested in connection with shoplifting at Knowles True Value Store in Calico Rock. Daniel Dwight, 20, of Calico Rock and Zack Thomas Autry, 18, of Melbourne are charged with theft of property, a class "a" misdemeanor and remain in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,500 bond.

They are accused of taking cans of computer cleaner from the store. A male juvenile was previously charged in connection with this theft and is considered a suspect in the destruction of mail boxes in the Calico Rock area. The juvenile was released to his family and given a court date. There were admissions that the three sniffed the propellant of the cleaner in order to get high. Sheriff Lawrence again warns that sniffing the propellant from aerosol cans is often deadly.

The Izard County Sheriff's Department has completed the investigation of a grave marker that was destroyed at Spring Creek Cemetery near Calico Rock. Suspect(s) have been identified and an affidavit has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office.

A Mountain View woman, Josie Lea Glasgow, 18, was arrested Friday night on charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia along with a Mountain View man, Brandon Alan Muse, 20, on the same charges. Muse posted bond in the amount of $2,705 and was released while Glasgow remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Randy LeRoy Schulz, 43, of Batesville was arrested Oct. 21 and is awaiting transport to the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Blair E. Koonce, 23, was arrested Friday on a violation of Arkansas Hot Check Law warrant. Koonce posted bond and was released the same day.
