Melbourne's Emily Carroll picked up some more hardware for her ever-expanding trophy cabinet, winning the Class 2A Girls' Cross Country championship Nov. 7 in Mountain Home.
Carroll's time of 20:25.43 was the fastest individual time in the event. Magazine's Katy Carter came in second with a time of 21:57.16.
Trinity Christian took top honors in the team competition, followed by Acorn, Westside-Greers Ferry and Hackett.
Salem's Courtney Falco also turned in an impressive performance at the state meet, finishing in fifth place individually with a time of 22:46.52.
