Pirates blast Panthers

Jumping in front 9-2 to start the game, the Calico Rock Pirates didn't let up until they had posted a 55-34 rout of the Norfork Panthers in 1A-2 North action Nov. 17 at Harold Ray Jeffery Gymnasium.

Brayden McCurley led the way with 15 points, with Jake Pool following closely with 14.

Sam Nave had 10 and Jordan Green six.

Alex Skidmore hit for five, while Matt Stone and Mitchell Pool finished with two points apiece.

On the girls' side of things, the Lady Pirates used a big 17-4 run to grab control en route to a 65-37 blasting of Norfork.

Sloan Lively led Calico Rock with 14 points, while Emily Johnson had eight. Taylor Cox, Brooke McCurley and Courtney Lester posted seven points apiece. Brandi Deloach had six and Malorey Brannon five.Kaitlyn Fry, Heather Parker and Brittany Fountain finished with three points each for Calico Rock.
