Medical Center to be part of TV show

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Community Medical Center Hospital in Calico Rock was part of a re-enactment of a bear-mauling on the TV program, "I'm Alive," for the Animal Planet channel.

Though the bear-mauling occurred at a Tennessee park, the hospital was used for the re-enactment on TV. Filming for the re-enactment was in October.

Hospital CEO Angela Richmond said, the program will air Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m. on the Animal Planet channel.

"The re-enactment included a few of our local physicians from Calico Rock and Mountain View, staff and staff family members as well as an Arkansas Emergency Transport (AET) crew member," Richmond said.
