Webbs honored

The Cherokee Village Lions' Club met Nov. 3, at the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church. A delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal was enjoyed in honor of the holiday after Lion Charly opened the meeting in prayer. Past District Governor Lion Wally Shultz presented the PDG award to David and Tracy Webb for their Pretty Darn Good community service work. The Webbs work tirelessly on the annual golf tournament in the Village.

The last club meeting of 2009 was held on Dec. 14 and also served as the club Christmas Party. Lion Kenny was in charge of the entertainment and secured a singing group for the event. The Club Board asked that each attendee of the Christmas Party bring a $5 bag of non-perishable food to be donated to the Ministerial Alliance.
