A Cherokee Village woman was arrested Jan. 11 on an Izard County warrant for a felony drug charge. Sony Elise Wiggins, 39, was charged with possession of a controlled substance-ecstasy. Wiggins posted a $50,000 bond and was given a date to appear in Izard County Circuit Court.
Steven William Chute, 20, of Pineville was arrested Jan. 15 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Chute is accused of inflicting injury on his step-father during an altercation between the two. Chute made provisions for bond and was released the same day from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Lester Franklin Jared, 65, of the Forty-Four Community was arrested Jan. 11 on charges to include driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test and disorderly conduct. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Jared was combative and uncooperative during his booking into the Izard County Detention Facility. Jared posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,260 and was released with a court date.
Daniel Wayne Dwight, 20, of Calico Rock was arrested Jan. 14 on a Baxter County warrant. Dwight has additional charger pending in Izard County and upon release from Baxter will be transported to the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jacquliene Beatrice Vanevera, 61, of Mountain Home was arrested Jan. 11 on a warrant from Baxter County. Vanevera was released to Baxter County authorities.
Roger Lee Johnson, 40, of Batesville was arrested on a probation violation warrant on Jan. 13. Johnson is on a no bond status and will remain incarcerated until the February term of Circuit Court.
Four inmates were transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction to begin serving prison time. The individuals include Lynn Eugene Young, 47, of Calico Rock; Charles Russell Earle, 57, of Horseshoe Bend; Larry Joe Long, 32, of Searcy; and James Paul Morrison, 48, of Crawford.
