A response Jan. 21 to a residence in Pineville resulted in the arrest of Micah John Tunicliff on the charge of domestic battery third degree. The 18-year-old Pineville man remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

A 9-1-1 call Jan. 23 to a residence on Knob Creek Road in Melbourne regarding a domestic situation led to the arrest of Carl G. Cooper. 73, was charged with domestic battering third degree, issued a no contact order and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date.

Jeremy John Hands, 36, of Calico Rock, was arrested Jan. 22 after fleeing from deputies. Hands was charged with fleeing, driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, operating a vehicle without license plates, having no insurance and operating an unsafe vehicle. Hands remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,325 bond and a department of correction hold. Hands was charged with similar offenses New Year's Eve.

Jerry Lynn Bierman, 62, of Oxford, was arrested Jan. 19 on charges of careless driving and driving while intoxicated. Bierman appeared before Judge David Miller, given a court date and released.

Daniel Wayne Dwight, 20, of Calico Rock, was arrested Jan. 20 on theft of receiving charge relating to an all terrain vehicle. Dwight's probation was revoked from a previous offense by Judge David Miller and ordered to serve the remainder of his suspended sentence amounting to 154 days. Dwight remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jordon Meadows, 18, of Calico Rock, was found to be in contempt of court on Jan. 21 as the result of appearing in court and testing positive for marijuana. Meadows was also found to have violated his terms of probation. Meadows remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a cash bond in the amount of $3,310.

Shane Anthony Taylor, 27, of Violet Hill, was arrested Jan. 23 in response to a compliant by a female stating that Taylor would not let her leave. Taylor was charged with disorderly conduct. Taylor later posted bond and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Additional charges against Taylor are pending.

David Edward Hulsey, 29, of Oxford, was arrested Jan. 19 on the charge of public intoxication. Hulsey was released Jan. 21 and given a court date.

Two inmates were transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve time. Lisa Faye Dixon, 43, of Salem, was transported Jan. 21 and David M. Dickson, 29, of Steinhatchee, Fla., was transported Jan. 23.
