Quorum Court hosts meeting

The Sharp County Quorum Court met at their regular monthly meeting Jan.11 at the Sharp County Courthouse in Ash Flat. After approving county reports, the main topic on the agenda was reading and approving Ordinances 2010-1 and 2.

Both ordinances were to amend ordinances for accounting purposes. Sharp County Judge Larry Brown told the quorum court that the county had received an extension until Aug. 6 to submit expenses related to the ice storm. He also said the next three months FEMA officials will be driving the roads with county officials to document damages resulting from the Oct. 30 flooding.

The Sharp County Quorum Court meets monthly at 6 p.m. on the second Monday at the Sharp County Courthouse. The public is invited to attend these meetings.
