Two vehicle accident on Peace Valley Road

This two-vehicle accident occurred Jan. 28 on Peace Valley Road. Robert Johnson, 34, of Horseshoe Bend was driving eastbound from Horseshoe Bend traveling toward Ash Flat when his 1987 Cadillac was hit on the driver's side by Martha Jarret Easley, 46, who was driving a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. Ash Flat Fire Department first responders, Ash Flat Police Department, Spring River Ambulance Service, Ash Flat Road crews and Air Evac responded to the accident. The Ash Flat Fire Department worked for nearly 40 minutes to extricate Johnson from his vehicle. He was air lifted from the scene to St. John's in Springfield with a dislocated shoulder, broken arm, pelvis injuries and lacerations to his chin and face. Easley was transported to Fulton County Hospital via ambulance for her injuries.
