Bishop to seek fourth term

Vickie Bishop, Fulton County and Circuit Clerk has announced she will seek the Democratic nomination for re-election in the May 8 primary. Bishop is currently serving her third term as clerk having served as deputy clerk for many years.

"I have enjoyed working with and for the people of Fulton County and I want to continue serving as your clerk. I pledge that my staff and I will continue to be dedicated and work hard to give the best service possible."

Bishop is a member of the Arkansas County Clerk's Association and Arkansas Circuit Clerk's Association. She attends numerous workshops sponsored by the Clerk's Continuing Education Association.

She and her husband, Wayne, are both Fulton County natives. They have two children, C.J. and wife, Lucinda Bishop and Tesa and husband, Robert Nelson. The Bishops are blessed with one grandson, Whitt Guffey Bishop.
