Jumping in front 14-7 after the first period, the Salem Lady Greyhounds pushed past the visiting Izard County Lady Cougars 61-45 at the Dawg Pound Feb. 11.
The Lady Hounds led 26-14 at the half and 41-26 after three periods of play.
Chelsea Maguffee paved the way for Salem with a game-high 25 points. Abbey Blevins followed with 14 and Bethany Pate added nine.
Callen Curtis and Jamie Bell ended the game with six points each, while Dalina Perkey logged one point.
Rachel Harmon's 13 points led Izard County. Trisha Arnold added 10 and Kaydie Campbell had eight.
Amber Hall finished with seven, while Harmony Herron and Emily Crider added three points each. Kristen Doty finished with one point for the Lady Cougars.
Later in the evening, Izard County made it a split with a 57-49 win over the Greyhounds.
Preston Harmon tossed in 14 points to pace the Cougs, while Trenton Hatman notched 13 and Ryan Walker scored 12. Caleb Cowan finished with 10, while Jake Dockins and Kyle King added four points each.
Clint Ray scored a game-high 17 points for Salem. Jeremy Lance and Ryan Rich logged nine points each, while Carson York had seven.
Dustin Ray posted five points and Brandon Godfrey had two.
The Lady Greyhounds trailed 20-16 at the half, but managed to rally in the second two periods of play to notch a 42-39 road win over Walnut Ridge in 2-2A play Feb. 10.
Later in the evening, the Bobcats topped the Greyhounds 65-42.
Walnut Ridge led 34-23 at the half and 52-31 after three.
The junior Bobcats started off the evening with a 48-21 victory over the junior Greyhounds, giving Walnut Ridge the conference title.
