Ash Flat man arrested on drug charges

An Ash Flat man was in jail Feb. 11 facing felony drug charges after several complaints regarding suspicious activity at the home of Rickey Eugene McComas, 57, of Ash Flat. According to a press release supplied by the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, Sharp County Sheriff's Detective Sergeants Mark Counts and Ken Guidry, along with Arkansas State Police Agent Wendall Jines, Ash Flat Police Chief Anthony Wiles, Officer Steve Powell and Drug Task Force Agent Mike Zeiger executed a search warrant on the home.

The officers recovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia and other controlled substances. McComas is out on bond with charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime.
