Isenhowers celebrate 81 years of marriage

Vern and Verbal Isenhower of Louisberg, Kan., have reached a milestone in their marriage that few couples ever reach. On Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, they were married 81 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Isenhower exchanged their lasting vows of marriage in 1929 in Salem, Ark. The moved their family to Louisburg in 1946.

Their family celebrated the special milestone with an anniversary cake Sunday. Last year, Mr. and Mrs. Isenhower were honored by an 80th anniversary party sponsored by the congregation of the First Baptist church.
