You know that Spring has arrived when it's time for the Mammoth Spring State Park annual class for building blue bird houses.

This year, the Spring River Sportsman's Club provided an informative presentation about the blue bird, and then gave participants a pre-fabricated wood kit and set of instructions for assembly. That's when things got a little bit noisy.

"We had 63 people participating in the workshop and they built 47 blue bird boxes," said Glenda Pryor with the Mammoth Spring State Park.

By following the directions, the wood pieces were easily assembled and only needed to be nailed together. Once the assembly was complete, the participants had a blue bird house to take home and hang on their property to invite a new blue bird family to come and take up residence.
