Romans announces candidacy for clerk

Rosemary Romans has announced her candidacy for the office of Oregon County Circuit Clerk on the Democratic ticket. She is married to Melvin Romans and has two sons, Jody and Gabe Trobaugh, one granddaughter, Ireland Trobaugh and three step-children and eight step-grandchildren.

"I was born and raised on a farm just west of Koshkonong in Howell County, receiving my elementary and high school education in the Koshkonong School System. I have lived in Oregon County for 34 years."

"I have a associate of applied science degree in paralegal studies earned from Southwest Missouri State University West Plains campus in 2001, having graduated with honors. I am a Certified Court Manager of which there is no other in the 37th Judicial Circuit consisting of Oregon, Howell, Shannon and Carter counties."

"I became a public servant to the good people of Oregon County on April 1, 1998. It has been a pleasure and a wonderful experience to work for the people in this capacity. I have worked very hard, earning the trust, confidence and respect of the residents of the county in which I take great pride in living, raising my family and working."

"There are four computer programs/systems that are used by the Circuit Clerk's office. I am trained in and utilize all four programs/systems. I am a custodian of records for Criminal, Civil and Juvenile cases. I take this responsibility very seriously, consistently treating everyone who comes into the office of the Circuit Clerk or call the office of the Circuit Clerk, with respect, dignity and courtesy because I am a public servant."
