After recognizing the driver of a car in Cave City known to have warrants, Sharp County Deputy Gary Mitchell pulled over the car resulting in charges of possession of a controlled substance and intent to deliver.
According to a report from the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, Mitchell pulled over Thomas B. King, 42, of Cave City.
The driver had a warrant out of Batesville and a suspended driver's license.
Jamie Rudick, 30, of Cave City and her daughter were passengers in the Mitchell vehicle. Mitchell said after Cave City officer David Edwards arrived on the scene, he began searching the vehicle for illegal items. Mitchell said he walked around the car from the passenger side and witnessed Rudick kick something under the vehicle.
The white box Rudick kicked under the vehicle contained seven bags of a green leafy substance, four hypodermic needles, a Seroqeul pill, a grinding device and rolling papers.
The child was released to a member of the family.
Both King and Rudick were arrested at the scene.
