A Melbourne man was recently arrested on drug related charges. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Ronnie Ray Hollowell, 41, was arrested March 29 during a parole/probation visit on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. Hollowell posted bond the following day and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date.
Shawn Denise Travis, 39, of Pineville was arrested April 2 on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Travis posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Following a Thursday night motor vehicle accident, Melvin Clay Hawkins, 33, of Melbourne was arrested April 2 on multiple charges. Hawkins was charged with fleeing, failure to report an accident, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, obstruction of governmental operations, and operating a vehicle without insurance. Hawkins posted bond in the amount of $2,000 and was released. The unnamed driver of the other vehicle in the accident is being sought on similar charges according to Sheriff Lawrence.
A domestic altercation on April 1 resulted in the arrest of Michael Duane Reynolds, 20, of Melbourne. Reynolds was charged with domestic battering third degree, and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day with a court date.
A Calico Rock man, James Hayden McDonald, 41, was arrested on April 2 on driving while intoxicated charges. The charges also included careless and prohibited driving. McDonald later posted bond in the amount of $1,155 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Early Sunday morning on April 4, deputies were dispatched to the Quail Run Apartments in Melbourne in response to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers encountered five males of various ages who indicated they had been drinking and had likely been loud according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence. Michael David Tolle, 23, of Melbourne was arrested and charged with possessing a controlled substance and obstructing governmental operations. Ryan Shelton Dowdle, 20, of Melbourne was arrested on the charge of possessing intoxicating liquor by a minor. Michael Worch, 28, of Melbourne was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and as the occupant of the apartment was charged with violation of the social host law. Dowdle posted bond in the amount of $605 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Tolle and Worch posted bond amounts of $2,335 and $1,605 respectively and were also released.
Jordan Randel Meadows, 18, of Calico Rock was arrested April 4 on the charges of operating a vehicle without plates, having no insurance, driving on a revoked license, and fleeing. Meadows remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,675 bond.
A domestic violence altercation early Monday morning on April 5 resulted in the arrest of Joseph McCoy, 44, and Kimberly Ann Collins, 38, both of Sidney. Both were charged with domestic battering third degree and remain in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Adam Wade Pinkston, 37, of Melbourne was arrested April 4 on the charge of public intoxication. Pinkston remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jacob Ryan Crow, 24, of Cave City was arrested March 28 on a Sharp County warrant and was later transported to the Sharp County jail.
Three Izard County inmates awaiting bed space were transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction on March 31. They were John Allen Carson, 53, of Salem; David Bradley Nicholson, 46, of Newport and Robert Paul Austill, 43, of Forrest City.
