Thayer City Clerk fired in Closed Session at City Council Meeting - No reason given

In a 3 to 1 vote, according to Mayor Earl "Buddy" Rogers, Thayer City Clerk Jane Yancey was fired by the council during a closed session last night. No reason or cause for the firing was given by the Mayor or any of the Aldermen. How might this action affect the new wastewater treatment plant - find out in the April 22 edition of The South Missourian News.

It always irritates me to see someone replaced on a job because someone's buddy might need that job.

I don't know the particulars but it sounds like

politics to me, but I hope this isn't the case.
