Preston Harmon and Jed Yarnell teamed up to lead the Izard County Cougars to a 14-8 victory over Melbourne April 12.

Harmon earned the win on the hill, striking out seven in five-and-a-third innings of work. Yarnell came on in relief and fanned three Bearkatz.

Uriah Mead homered for one of his two hits in the game, while Miguel Hinojosa logged three hits for the Cougars.

Yarnell had two hits and drove in two, with Ryan Walker picking up a pair of ribbies as well.

Jake Dockins finished with two hits for Izard County.

Kerby Smith had two hits for Melbourne, while Matt Loggains drove in two runs.

Yarnell was the winning pitcher in Izard County's 12-7 victory over Calico Rock April 15.

He allowed 10 hits while fanning seven and walking two.

Hinojosa had two hits and two ribbies for the Cougs, with Harmon also driving in a pair of runs.

Dockins and Mead had two hits and an RBI apiece, with Zane Worsencroft, Yarnell, Alex Gale and Walker adding runs-batted-in.

Garrett Dockins had a pair of hits and three RBIs for the Pirates, with Matt Stone driving in two runs.

Morgan Lamb had three hits and an RBI for Calico Rock, with Alex Skidmore also posting a run-batted-in.
