The Arkansas State Police in cooperation with the Sharp County Sheriff's Department began an investigation stemming from continuous revenue loss at the store.
According to a report from the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, video surveillance was set up to monitor the cash register in the store. The tape revealed Sanders stealing both cash and merchandise.
Sanders was confronted April 19 after State Police Investigator Wendell Jines and Sharp County Detective Sargeant Ken Guidry set up two sales that day in which Sanders took money.
Sanders was taken to the Sharp County Sheriff's Departement for an interview. There, Sanders admitted to taking $30,000 worth of both cash and merchandise from the Grapevine. She admitted to the thefts over a two year time frame.
Investigators said that some of the merchandise and cash have been recovered. She was charged and released on her own recognizance on April 29 a court appearance.
