Fulton County Judge Charles Willett signs a proclamation announcing May as Older Americans Month as seniors from the Salem Senior Center look on.
There was a full crowd at the Salem Senior Center on Friday, April 30, as County Judge Charles Willett signed a proclamation naming May as Older Americans Month. In conjunction with the proclamation, the Fulton County Senior Centers -- Mammoth Spring, Viola and Salem -- are combining forces for a huge fundraiser event to be held at the Salem center on Saturday, May 7, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The centers will be offering a spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings for just $6, along with an opportunity to meet the candidates running for office in Fulton County and a celebration of Carroll Benton Day, all topped off with an auction that can't be missed.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and local businesses and individuals are encouraged to contribute items for the auction, which will be run by auctioneer Artis Owens.
So come out and support the Fulton County Senior Centers, enjoy a great meal and maybe even take home a bargain or two.
