Grizzlies ink new player

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Officials with the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly basketball team have signed their first new recruit for the 2010-2011 season.

He is Jordan Clennon, a 6-1 combo guard from Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

"We are happy to add Jordan to the Grizzly basketball family," Head Coach Yancey Walker said. "He gives us more depth and scoring punch at the guard spot. In addition, he comes from a good program that is used to winning."

A tri-captain on his team, Clennon was named the Humber Classic Tournament MVP, a St. Mikes Tournament All-Star, St. Edmund team MVP in 2009 and 2010, a Sheridan Cup Tournament All-Star and a regional all-star during his career, Walker reported.

"With all of the players we have returning, we are able to be very selective with who we sign for this year's class," Walker said. "Jordan will fit into our team nicely."
