The Highland Lady Rebels used another successful showing at the 3-4A District Track Meet March 22 to punch their ticket to the Class 4A State Meet.
Returning to the state meet for the fourth year in a row was senior sprinter Kristina Langston.
At the district meet, she came in second in the 100-yard dash, second in the 200-yard dash and second in the 4X100-relay.
Also, making her fourth trip to the state round was senior sprinter Kara Langston.
She came in second in the 4X100-relay and turned in a fifth-place performance in the 100-meter dash, as well as a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Senior sprinter/distance runner Brooke Messer made it to state for the second year by taking an easy first-place victory in the mile, coming in second in the 4X100-relay and finishing sixth in the 400-yard dash.
Kaitlyn Goodwin earned her first trip to state as part of the 4X100-relay team.
In other results from the district meet, Highland's Syndney Shackelford finished fifth in the 400-yard dash and Dillion Sitz came in fourth in the mile run.
