Results are in from the 2010 annual Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Bass Tournament at Lake Norfork May 8 and some local anglers fished their way to near the top of the leaderboard.
Salem's Casey and John Scribner caught 15.25 pounds of fish, good for second place and a $1,000 prize.
Link Humphries of Salem teamed up with Glencoe's Randy Zeigler to come in third with 14.19 pounds of fish, good for third place and $675.
First place went to Mountain View, Ar., anglers Herman Turner and Josh Hollaman. The duo reeled in 15.31 pounds of fish, earning them the $2,00 top prize, along with a BassCat boat.
Larry Hurtt of Harrison, teamed up with Tim Hurtt of Salem to finish seventh in the standings with 12.87 pounds.
Salem's Michael Bassham and West Plains' Ray Stone finished 10th with 12.48 pounds of fish.
Big Bass went to Mountain Home's Don and Hazel Harvey, for a fish that tipped the scales at 5.12 pounds.
There were 285 boats entered in this year's tourney, with 153 of those weighing fish. This year's Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Bass Tournament raised $13, 939, bringing the total amount this event has rasied since 1989 to $290,000.
