Kilgore -- Johnson set nuptials

James and Mary Beth Kilgore of Hampton, Ark., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Kilgore, to Thomas Johnson, son of Ricky and Kathy Johnson of Keiser, Ark.

The wedding will be held at Victory Baptist Church in Hampton, Ark., on June 5 at 5 p.m. A reception will follow at River Woods in Camden, Ark. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Kilgore, formerly of Hampton and William and Lera Mae Dunn of Minden, La.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Dorothy and the late Loyel Johnson of Cherokee Village, Ark., and the late Charles and Joyce Wilson of Norfork, Ark.

The couple met at the University of Arkansas where Elizabeth was in the Razorback Marching Band and Thomas was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.

Elizabeth recently earned the Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. Beginning later this summer, she will be working with Dr. Jerry Ellis at Progressive Eye Center in Cherokee Village. Thomas is currently employed by Denso Manufacturing Arkansas.

The couple plans to reside in Cherokee Village, Ark.
