'Instant Classics,' 'Aftershock' top tourney field

The fourth annual Cherokee Village Kiwanis Club's 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament was held on May 8 at the Highland High School gym.

Proceeds from the event are used to support the Kiwanis' Club college scholarship for Highland High School graduating seniors.

The first place men's team was "Instant Classics" from Nettleton, with team members Tim Lamb, Matt Lamb, Devin Lamb and Justin McGarity.

The second-place men's team was "Stu's Team" from the Spring River. Team members were Jon Hodges, Stu Smart, Jason Rhodes and Brian Gooch.

The first-place women's team was "Aftershock" from Batesville, with team members Hanna Huff, Alex Davidson, Kandess Pfitzner, and Rachel Shellenberger.

The second-place women's team was from the Spring River area, calling themselves "SOS." Team members were Alison Price, Hassi Bray, Ginny Long and Kaitlin Beth Johnson.
