Area law enforcement have busy holiday weekend

Over $33,000 in bail money and 32 arrests later, the Fulton County Sheriff's Department and the Salem Police Department both had their hands full this past holiday weekend.

Fulton County

Fulton County Sheriff Walter Dillinger said the Spring River revelers were his department's biggest concern.

"Every year, we do our best to keep the citizens safe and to allow everyone to enjoy the holiday weekend responsibly," said Dillinger.

Thomas Hayes, 23, of Oxford was arrested on May 13 for DWI 2 and warrants out of Izard County. Hayes was transferred to the Izard County Detention Center on May 26.

James Meeks, 27, of Cherokee Village was arrested May 18 for 3rd degree domestic battery. Meeks was transferred from the Fulton County Jail on May 28 to the North Arkansas Mental Health Clinic.

John Todd, 18, of Senatoba, Miss., was arrested May 28 for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Todd was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29.

Bradley McClure, 48, of Belle Plaine, Kan., was arrested May 29 for DWI. McClure was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29 on a $815 bond.

John Novell, 22, of Evening View, Tenn., was arrested May 29 for possession of a controlled substance. Novell was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29 on a $4,360 bond.

James Paris, 21, of Drummonds, Tenn., was arrested May 29 for public intoxication. Paris was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29 on a $260 bond.

Dylan McDermott, 19, of Paragould was arrested May 29 for public intoxication. McDermott was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29 on a $260 bond.

James Johnson, 45, of Blytheville was arrested May 29 for disorderly conduct. Johnson was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 29 on a $210 bond.

Rodney Trammel, 19, of Paragould was arrested May 29 for disorderly conduct. Trammel is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of a $210 bond.

Jesse Delling, 24, of Malvern was arrested May 29 for DWI. Delling was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $815 bond.

Gannon Parvin, 20, of Horn Lake, Miss., was arrested May 29 for DWI. Parvin was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $815 bond.

Anthony Todd, 21, of Black Rock was arrested May 29 for DWI and Driving on a suspended license. Todd is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $815 bond.

Charles Davis, 26, of Stafford, Mo., was arrested May 29 for DWI. Davis was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $815 bond.

Corey Wiseman, 22, of Lance Cove, Miss., was arrested May 29 for public intoxication, theft of property, possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. Wiseman is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of a $1,780 bond.

Joshua Robinson, 21, of Memphis, Tenn., was arrested May 29 for public intoxication and theft of property. Robinson was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $620 bond.

Trevor French, 19, of Cordova, Tenn., was arrested May 29 for public intoxication. French was released from the Fulton County Jail on a $260 bond.

Jacob Middleton, 26, of memphis, Tenn., was arrested for DWI and implied consent on May 29. Middleton was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $1,070 bond.

Joseph Blackwell, 21, of Collierville, Tenn., was arrested for DWI, ATV on road and implied consent on May 30. Blackwell was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $1,070 bond.

Jacob Bussinger, 21, of Bades, Ind., was arrested May 30 for DWI and implied consent. Blackwell was released from the Fulton County Jail on a $1,070 bond.

Ricky Shelton, 29, of Bartlett, Tenn., was arrested may 30 for DWI and interference of government operations. Shelton was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $1,235 bond.

Ashley Beaver, 22, of memphis, Tenn., was arrested May 30 for DWI. Beaver was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 30 on a $815 bond.

Greg Wilson, 36, of Wynn was arrested May 30 for DWI, implied consent, no sat belt, possession of a controlled substance, possession of an instrument of crime and endangering the welfare of a minor. Wilson was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 31 on a $2,490 bond.

Paul Giovanini, 21, of Millington, Tenn., was arrested May 30 for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and fleeing. Giovanni is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $1,055 bond.

Ricky Hatchel, 22, of Drummond, Tenn., was arrested May 30 for DWI. Hatchel was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 31 on a $835 bond.

Aaron Jones, 26, of Osceda, Miss., was arrested May 31 for DWI, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and ficticious tags. Jones is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $2,205 bond.

Justice Coleman, 24, of Union City, Tenn., was arrested on May 31 for six counts of theft. Coleman is being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $2,160 bond.

Jonathon Collins, 27, of Walnut Ridge was arrested May 31 for DWI. Collins was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 31 on a $835 bond.

Salem

The Salem Police Department also had a busy holiday weekend.

Thomas Musgrove, 27, of Salem was arrested on May 5 for resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Musgrove also has a warrant out of Mammoth Spring for failure to pay fines. Musgrove was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 26 on an Own Recognizance Bond.

Eric Miller, 29, of Salem was arrested on May 23 for theft of property. Miller was released from the Fulton County Jail on May 26 on a $5,000 bond.

Reed Thompson, 53, of Salem was arrested on May 29. Thompson was released from the Fulton County Jail later the same day.

Ashia Hutson, 20, of Viola was arrested May 31 for DWI, possession of a controlled substance, driving left of center and no seat belt. Hutson is being held in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of $1,425 bond.

Robert Porter, 67, of Salem was arrested on a warrant on May 26 for 10 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Porter was released on May 26 on a $50,000 bond.

Missouri

In Missouri, Oregon County, Sheriff George Underwood and his deputies along with Thayer Police Chief David Bailey and his department had a quieter time.

Faith Ann Brown, 32, of Thayer was cited and issued a court date on May 24 for allowing a dog to run at large.

Brian K. Barton, 30, of Thayer was arrested May 27 on an Oregon County warrant for felony passing of bad checks. Barton was being held in lieu of a $4,900 bond.

John H. McNeil, 55, of Miami, Okla., was cited June 2 for speeding.

James E. Barnett, 52, of Mammoth Spring was cited June 4 for no seat belt.

Paula L. McCain, 39, of Pocahontas was cited June 4 for failure to register and no insurance.

Heath A. Barbee, 18, of Thayer was cited June 4 for no seat belt.

Izard County

In Izard County, Sheriff Tate Lawrence and his deputies had their hands full with numerous failure to pay arrests.

Steve Gene Jarrett, 49, of Cushman was arrested May 29 on warrants of possessing a controlled substance and theft of property. When booked into jail, Jarrett tested positive for marijuana, meth, and amphetamines. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Jarrett remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,230 bond.

A May 27 traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Jamie Jaunita Chism, 28, of Calico Rock. Chism was charged with possessing a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. Chism posted bond May 29 in the amount of $2,210 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Chad Anthony Fowler, 22, of Salem was arrested May 29 on the charge of public intoxication-drugs. Sheriff Lawrence said that Fowler tested positive for opiates and marijuana. Fowler was released later in the day and given an appearance date in Izard County District Court.

Lisa Jane Greenwood, 49, of Batesville, previously of Calico Rock, was arrested May 29 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Greenwood remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $3,750 cash bond.

A Wideman man, Thomas Michael Hayes, 23, was arrested May 26 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Hayes was released with a court date after appearing before Judge David Miller.

Justin Allen Janson, 25, of Calico Rock was arrested May 26 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Janson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,610 bond.

Elizabeth Anne Karam, 55, of Melbourne was arrested May 25 on the charge of disorderly conduct. Karam was admitted the following day to a rehabilitation facility in Little Rock.

Jarrett Troy Moorehead, 20, of Calico Rock was arrested May 26 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Moorehead posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,225 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

A Franklin man, 30 year old Steven Durwin Parker was arrested May 28 on a failure to appear warrant. Parker was released the same day and given a court appearance date.

Charles Vaden Reed, 29, of Melbourne was arrested on a Baxter County warrant and was released to Baxter County authorities.

In response to several complaints by residents of the Millcrest Addition in Melbourne, the Izard County Sheriff's Department has intensified efforts to reduce speeding and the disregard of stop signs.

Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that since school is out, there will be lots of children playing in the neighborhood and that it is of great safety importance to the obey speed limit and traffic control signs. The sheriff said he hopes there will be voluntary compliance and that the issuing of citations will not be necessary.
